Little Angel Foundation

The seeds of this noble cause were sown in 2016 at Airoli in Navi Mumbai, when one of our founder member and chair person Mrs. Priyanka Bobade learnt that two girl kids were severely burnt and were admitted at National burns hospital, Airoli. Deeply moved by the plight of the financially poor kids, Priyanka along with few other members supported the complete hospital expenses. This was the beginning of the journey of the group 'Little Angel Foundation'.

Team took up the social cause of helping the kids and soon found out that the poor kids were deprived of basic right to education in the society. And they found their motto 'EDUCATION for ALL'. They resolved to come forward and educate these kids who couldn't afford school due to their poor financial conditions. And thereby sapling of LAF was sown and within a year bloomed into huge tree due to the noble support and blessings provided by the well-wishers and donors from time to time.

The Problem:

1. 50% of Indian children aged 6-18 do not go to school.
2. A little over one-third of all children who enrol in Grade 1 reach Grade 8.
3. In nearly 60% of schools, there are less than two teachers to teach Classes I to V.
4. High cost of private education and need to work to support their families and little interest in studies are the reasons given by three in every four drop-outs as the reason they leave.
5. Dropout rates increase alarmingly in class III to V, its 50% for boys, 58% for girls.

Our Vision and Mission

Our Vision is the building of life where underprivileged children are empowered through quality education and care to break the cycle of poverty, positively transforming their lives and the lives of the community around them. We realize our duties and discharge them rigorously. We see a future wherein money, or the lack thereof, isn’t an impediment; a future where every child, regardless of their social class, fulfils his/her potential.
